Rainbow Beach Stormy weather Dancing Snow Gums 2 is

Dancing Snow Gums 2 is inspired by the Australian tree found in alpine areas - in particular

This original pastel painting was the finalist of the prestigious Holmes Art Prize for Realistic Australian Bird Art 2022 - Maleny

I have used a variety of soft and hard pastels on Colurfix pastel paper to create this work

By repeating one image again and again there is no focal point

This artwork is great for modern interiors

Rainbow Beach Stormy weather Dancing Snow Gums 2 isMy favourite artist is Jackson Pollock, and his famous paint drip paintings. I love the random patterns and shapes that can't be purposely created. This painting tries to control the randomness of the drips into some form of recognisable image, in this case a beach viewed from above.
