Brit RAC #02 - This is an original Royal Armoured Corps (RAC) Helmet with a stainless-steel band around the rim

When acquired the shell was covered in thick smooth olive-drab paint inside and out

it was then primed and painted in khaki brown

It has the factory stamps NS64 (Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke) and the lot number is D253

M40 #42 Brit Para #51 - TheM40 #42 Shell: The shell is an original model 1940 type and is in good condition. Only the remnants of a tan coloured paint remained when acquired. The shell is in good condition with the effects of light rust pitting evident. The maker size stamp is ET64 (Eisenhutten) with a lot number stamp of 3494 are visible but lightly stamped. This shell was stripped to bare metal, primed then painted in grey green with a textured outer. An acceptance stamp has
