HMG-I/HMG-Y (Acetyl Lys71) Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody, 20ul Thermo Mix The galectins are a family

The galectins are a family of beta-galactoside-binding proteins implicated in modulating cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions

Their C-terminal EVH2 domain mediates tetramerization and binds both G and F actin

and may participate in the killing and digestion of engulfed pathogens

The encoded cytoplasmic protein is capable of binding intermediate chain proteins

process SUMO precursors to generate a C-terminal diglycine motif required for the conjugation reaction

HMG-I/HMG-Y (Acetyl Lys71) Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody, 20ul Thermo Mix The galectins are a familyThis gene encodes a chromatin associated protein involved in the regulation of gene transcription integration of retroviruses into chromosomes and the metastatic progression of cancer cells. The encoded protein preferentially binds to the minor groove of AT rich regions in double stranded DNA. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Pseudogenes of this gene have been identified on multiple chromosomes.
