A receipt for the propeller issued by the R J Mitchell Memorial Museum Ltd  /Southampton Hall of Aviation in 1992 shows the blades to be from a Spitfire and produced circa 1942

cut them to size and then normally store them for at least twelve months prior to use

The fittings for the handle are Gun metal coloured and complement the dyed Sycamore perfectly. The wood on the handle is Sycamore that has been dyed pink and blue. The tree the wood is from grew in the carpark area at Saltram house, Plymouth, Devon. The wood has been stabilised with resin to ensure a long life and durability around water. All handles
