He was a master tailor and his gowns are renowned for their cut and attention to detail. This is a really unusual piece for him and I would guess that it was specifically made upon the request of a client. It is very avant garde for its time period and a fore runner of the look and feel you see in later decades. A slinky red knit jersey is
